Dr. Craig Hauser, an Integrative & Functional Medicine physician in Frederick, the founder of Hauser Health, and the Clinical Director for Kannavis Dispensary in Urbana, recently spoke to the Francis Scott Key Lions Club about the medical marijuana industry. At Hauser Health he focuses on autoimmune diseases, GI issues, anxiety, fatigue, and weight loss; as the Clinical Director for Kannavis, he oversees all of the medical aspects of the cannabis dispensary. He was assisted by Jordan Baker, manager of Kannavis Dispensary.

Dr. Hauser explained integrative medicine, the various forms of cannabis and the interactions within the body of these substances. Thirty states have approved medical marijuana, which can be delivered by smoking, vaping, tinctures, patches, creams, tablets, drinks, etc. Patients cannot overdose on cannabis; if seeking medical marijuana, Dr. Hauser recommended that patients seek certified organic full-spectrum products.
