Lions District Governor Kent Eitemiller, a member of the Taylorsville-Winfield Lions Club, recently made his official visit to the Francis Scott Key Lions Club, reminding members that the international theme this year is "Follow Your Dream" and adversity should not stop us.

Currently 26% of Lions worldwide are women; Lions Clubs International wants that number raised to 50% in the next four years. Clubs are urged to invite couples to join, not just one person.

"Feed the Hungry" is the District 22W project for this year; with 27 clubs having reported at the time of his visit, over 15,000 units of food had been collected toward the goal of around 25,000.

In conclusion, Eitemiller told members to remember 3 things:
1) Volunteers don't get paid, because by doing the work we do, we are priceless.
2) Follow your dreams.
3) We serve because we care.

The FSK Lions meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the Barbara Fritchie Candystick Restaurant, 1513 West Patrick Street, Frederick.
