Katrina Wilson, RN Supervisor at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy since 2011, spoke to the Francis Scott Key Lions Club at their September 26 meeting. Wilson has worked in health care her entire career, starting as a nursing assistant and eventually earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She related the myriad of services and programs available through Hospice of Frederick County.
At the same meeting, DeVeda Coley, principal of North Frederick Elementary School, thanked the Lions not only for their recent donations of school supplies and items for the school’s Book Box, but also for their continuing support of the staff and students at NFES, including arranging a visit earlier this year from a Leader Dogs for the Blind representative, donating a Buddy Bench to the school, and working on starting a Lions Cub Club at the school. She presented the members with an envelope of thank you notes from the students.
