Members of the Francis Scott Key Lions Club recently learned about one man’s journey into blindness. Jim Hindman, founder of Jiffy Lube International and member of the Roaring Run Lions Club, spoke of his experiences with blindness. His journey is documented in his book “Was Blind, But Now I See.” Roaring Run Lions Bob Bullock, Darlene Sartain, and Cindy Tracey briefly spoke of their experiences with LOVRNET, the Lions Low-Vision Rehabilitation Network. LOVRNET, funded in part by the Lions Clubs International Foundation, seeks to help those with low vision, not by fixing their vision but by helping them to live with the vision capability they have.
