Lion Martin Bonura, Multiple District 22 Global Leadership Team Coordinator, recently spoke to the Francis Scott Key Lions Club about encouraging collaboration among Lions and gave members a number of suggestions to consider, including:
Share responsibility for decisions.
Elicit creativity from members; everyone has some type of creative talent.
Seek self-knowledge; know your own agenda and motives and why you do what you do.
Make others look good; give credit where it is due.
Collaboration allows members to: improve communications; increase ideas and creativity; improve problem-solving; find greater support; and attain better results.
And Lions were reminded that a “problem” may be an opportunity in disguise.
