LIONS DONATE LITERACY SUPPLIES TO LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
Members of the Francis Scott Key Lions Club recently made two deliveries of
boxes of school supplies and other literacy items to the students of Hillcrest
and North Frederick Elementary Schools. Donated items included writing tablets,
pencils, crayons, pencil cases, glue and glue sticks, scissors, pens, pocket
folders, books, and puzzles. The club has adopted these two schools as part of
its youth advocacy program. The club also recently donated jigsaw puzzles to the
residents of Montevue as part of their community outreach. The FSK Lions meet
the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the Barbara Fritchie Candystick
Restaurant, 1513 West Patrick Street, Frederick. For additional information on
