FSK LIONS TO HOLD ANNUAL YARD SALE
The Francis Scott Key Lions Club will hold its annual yard sale on Saturday,
September 6, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1406 North Market Street, Frederick,
across from Governor Thomas Johnson High School. Proceeds from the yard sale
benefit local and Lions charities, which include eyeglasses for low-income
persons, preschool vision screenings, books and school supplies for local
students, support of East Frederick Little League, and other charities. As an
added bonus, to support the club’s “Feed the Hungry” project, patrons who donate
canned or nonperishable goods to the FSK Lions Club on that day will receive a
20% discount on their total purchase (valid only on September 6 during the
specified times; not valid on prior purchases or for cash); collected goods will
be donated to the Frederick Food Bank.
The FSK Lions meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the Barbara
Fritchie Candystick Restaurant, 1513 West Patrick Street, Frederick. Dinner is
